Making your first rental

Ready to borrow your first item? Here's a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Find an item

  • Use the search bar to find what you need
  • Browse categories for inspiration
  • Filter by location, price, and availability

    • Step 2: Check the listing

  • Read the item description carefully
  • Review photos from multiple angles
  • Check the lender's ratings and reviews
  • Note the rental terms and conditions

    • Step 3: Select your dates

  • Choose pickup and return dates
  • Check availability on the calendar
  • Consider buffer time for pickup/return

    • Step 4: Send a rental request

  • Click "Request to Borrow"
  • Add a message to the lender (optional but recommended)
  • Review the total cost including fees

    • Step 5: Wait for approval

  • The lender has 24 hours to respond
  • You'll receive a notification when approved
  • Payment is only charged after approval

    • Step 6: Pick up the item

  • Coordinate pickup time with the lender
  • Inspect the item upon pickup
  • Take photos of its condition

    • Step 7: Enjoy and return

  • Use the item as agreed
  • Return on time to avoid late fees
  • Leave a review for the lender
